Why we built MonitoringDog

We're a small group of developers who built MonitoringDog because we were frustrated with the status quo.

Existing tools fell into two camps: simple but insufficient, or powerful but ridiculously expensive. We missed critical alerts because basic tools only checked if the server was "up", not if it was working. On the other hand, enterprise tools forced us to pay for "unlimited" notifications we never used, making us subsidize heavy users.

We believe monitoring should be simple, reliable, and fairly priced.

That's why we adopted a "pay for what you use" model. No hidden fees, no paying for others' usage. Just reliable alerts when you need them.
